The services provided in Brazil are offered by Direct Wire Instituição de Pagamento S.A. and its direct partners. Established on April 20, 2021, its main activities are: (a) the provision of issuing, administration, transfer and payment services related to payment instruments; (b) the provision of administrative, advisory and consultancy services in technologies related to the activities indicated above.
Its activities are mainly regulated by BCB Resolution No. 80, OF March 25, 2021, which governs the constitution and operation of payment institutions, establishes the parameters for filing requests for authorization of operation by these institutions and provides for the provision of payment services by other institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil.
